  • 1. How can I find out what’s on?

    We have a monthly programme that is available free of charge. You can pick this up from the foyer of the Venue from 9-5 or when there is a screening on. There is also a full listing of films and stage on screen events on our website at www.thevenuelincoln.co.uk

  • 2. How do I book tickets?

    Tickets can be purchased online on our website www.thevenuelincoln.co.uk or from the box office which is open 1 hour before any screening. Unfortunately we cannot process advanced ticket bookings over the phone.

  • 3. Where is the Venue?

    The Venue cinema is located on the Bishop Grosseteste University campus with access via Longdales Road. For Sat Nav users the postcode is LN1 3DY.

  • 4. Is there parking available?

    Yes, we have a large free of charge car park available to customers of the Venue which is accessed via Longdales Road. The spaces are available on a first come first serve basis. We also have disabled spaces located nearer the Venue entrance.

  • 5. I can’t print my tickets, what should I do?

    If you have a phone or tablet that you can display the tickets on we will accept this. If not please bring your booking reference number to the box office and speak to a member of staff, please allow plenty of time to do this before the screening.

  • 6. I have mobility problems; can I still come to The Venue?

    Yes, we have a level access entrance for those who struggle with the stairs, just speak to a member of staff on arrival.

  • 7. Do you sell food and drink?

    Yes, the bar has a range of sweets and crisps as well as alcoholic and soft drinks. All at very reasonable prices!

  • 8. Do you have a hearing loop?

    Yes, the auditorium is fitted with a hearing loop and there is a portable one available in the Venue bar.

  • 9. Do I need to be a member?

    No, we have no membership scheme in place. There is an option to register on our website, but this is only to make to booking process quicker in future and is not compulsory.

  • 10. Does my toddler need a ticket?

    Any adult or child wanting a seat will need a ticket.

  • 11. Can I bring a baby with me?

    We do allow babies during our family film club screenings but please respect the experience for other customers and be prepared to leave the auditorium if necessary.

  • 13. What is a concession?

    Our concessionary price is available for those under 15, over 60, staff of Bishop Grosseteste, or a student with a valid NUS card.

  • 14. How do I book a wheelchair space?

    We do not have the facility to book a wheelchair space in advance but if you notify a staff member on arrival that you require space for a wheelchair we will allocate you a space.

  • 15. What are your opening hours?

    Our bar area is open 1 hour prior to any screening. Our screenings are typically at 14:30 and 19:30 on Wednesdays & Saturdays. We do have other Stage on Screen events on Sundays and Thursdays but it is best to check the website for specific dates.
