Oscar Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance was first performed on 19 April 1893 at the Haymarket Theatre in London. This new production at the Vaudeville Theatre was staged by the Classic Spring Theatre Company led by Dominic Dromgoole, former Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe. The cinema presentation begins with a special introduction exclusively for the cinema audience featuring members of the cast and an interview with Oscar Wilde’s grandson, Merlin Holland.
